It's pumpkin spice season! Welcome to fall everyone! We've been busy working on the 11st Street Bridge Park Kiosk project, moving our own mobile kiosk project forward and planning for next year. Many thanks for hanging in there with us this year. Good things on the horizon!

Are you a Ward 7 or 8 Business?
Complete this survey for an opportunity to impact a future retail project in your community.
The 11th Street Bridge Park project will support new and existing local small businesses surrounding the park by providing a space for growth and exposure for local entrepreneurs. This space, a mobile retail kiosk, is currently in development. We are seeking input from entrepreneurs and small businesses to inform the design including furniture, materials and program. If you’re a small business in ward 7 or 8 with products or services that would benefit from this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!
Please note this is not an application to use the kiosk, there will be a follow up application with criteria.

Many Thanks to Our Outgoing Board Members!
This past September we wrapped up our first board term. A big shout out to Catherine Dewey and Lee Goldstein for laboring with us over the last two years. We are a stronger organization because of their efforts.

Good Things Happening at the WAAC!
We are thrilled to be working with the students at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center (an extension of Virginia Techs' School of Architecture + Design) on the REDC mobile kiosk. The students are using the information gathered from ward 7 and 8 communities over the past year to create a mobile information kiosk for our Back to Basics educational outreach. Follow the project here.
